Thirteen Things I Could do with 370 Million Dollars

This week NY and other states across America participated in the Mega Millions Jackpot. $370 Million Dollars! I bought my ticket and kept my fingers crossed. I didn’t win but if I had here is what I would have done with my big wad of cash. money.jpg

1… Buy a small country, preferably an island nation with lots of pina coladas
2… Eradicate Malaria
3… Hire a fulltime massage therapist named Javier
4… Buy a mansion in Malibu overlooking the ocean
5… Hire the supernanny, get teams of maids, bodygaurds, chauffer and stylist
6… Buy a jetplane
7… Cruise around the world with my friends and family
8… Nip, tuck, & liposuck
9… Go on a scuba diving vacation in Australia to see the Great Barrier Reef
10… Build a house that says “me” from the architecture to the interior design to the state-of-the art home office with the sign saying “Keep Out!”
11… Go wild in Amazon (the bookstore not the river ;-) ), B&N, Borders and others
12… Spend a week or more at a resort spa getting totally pampered from head to toe
13…Give it all away to charity. My life is rich enough with with my family and friends (TT’s included)

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

Awwww…. Love #13. :) Though you might consider keeping enough to keep Javier on the payroll. Just a suggestion.

I do this often when powerball get big, my list starts out with me things for my immediate family and ends up with altruistic intentions like trust funds for my nieces and nephews for college. But then the number gets drawn and I am back to my nickel and dime life, but it is fun to dream. Great idea for a list, may have to come up with one of my own sometime.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I would buy an island somewhere warm too. But it would have to have high speed Internet or my husband would go insane. Maybe I could buy an ISP for him…

    And Javier…oh yes baby!

I think I could give a big chunk to charity…nobody needs that kind of money, but man, I’d have a lot of fun with what I kept…

Now why didn’t I think of this topic this week? Good job! I especially like #13 – I wouldn’t give ALL of it to charity; but I would love to be able to give some huge financial help to lots of worthy causes. My TT is also posted.

I will look for your book.

Nice! You should go to the Amazon, also. Except there are lots of creepy crawlies there.

You can/could help so many people w. that kind of money. And, that would feel so good. And, you could still have all that stuff you listed. Especially the massage therapist.

    Happy 13!

Out of debt, on the beach, recovering from the extensive nip, tuck and liposuck…yup, that would be me.

Those would all be great things to do with the money if you won the lottery. I could definitely use a massage therapist myself. I need a deep tissue sports massage for my legs every two weeks to keep me injury-free while marathon training, so if I have an MT on hand, I could have them even more frequently!

I would definitely donate some of charity, but I’d also keep some for myself.

    Happy T13. :)

What a lovely daydream! Do we know for certain that you’re not one of the winners? For if you’re in a charitable mood, my Thursday 13 is a list of my favorite charities.

I’m in a Powerball state, but when the pot gets high, I begin dreaming, too. First off, we’d establish a charitable foundation to do good things. And the rest?

I can never get that far in the planning, but that full-time masseur sounds darn good. Think I could find a Physical Therapist/personal trainer/masseur? THAT would be ideal.

Happy TT and write well this week! Thanks, as always for visiting West of Mars.

This is always a fun thing to dream about. I know that I’d donate a lot of it, but my family would all be debt free first …then something extravagant! lol

I’m up too. Congrats on your release!

Wow! See, I wouldn’t do give it all to charity. I’m impressed you would, though!

I’d do all the things you mentioned, except the country. Too much work taking care of the residents! An island maybe, that’d be nice!

    Happy TT!

    If I only had 370 million dollars… Hmmm…may be I should do that next week :) ?

I’ll add you to my blogroll. Take care and keep writing.
