13 Books in my TBR Pile

Thirteen Books in my TBR Pile

ANNOUNCEMENT: While I have your attention, I thought I’d give you a heads up that we’re going to do a LIVE CHAT with author Kate Willoughby on May 29th 5pm Pacific (8 pm EST). More details are in the post below. Make sure to mark it on your calendars and come by for the fun!!

On to books…

Before I started writing, I stayed hip deep in books. I’d finish one paperback and pick up another. I couldn’t get enough of mysteries and romances or thrillers. My reading time has dropped off quite a bit since I started writing. I know I need to read to keep up with what’s out there, to get ideas I’d like to run with, and just because I love to read. Still, that darn TBR pile gets bigger and bigger. Below are 13 romances and mystery books that I intend to read by the end of the summer. Some of these aren’t out yet and I am counting the days…

1…. Say You’re Mine by Sydney Somers (Take one witch, add a really hot detective, and you’ve got instant attraction!)

2….Undenied by Maya Banks

3….Safe Harbor by Christine Feehan

4….What’s A Ghoul To Do? by Victoria Laurie (Ghost Hunter series)

5….Witch Hunt by Shirley Damsgaard

6….Acts of Violets by Kate Collins (A Flower Shop Mystery)

7….Surviving Demon Island by Jaci Burton and whichever of her books she sent me from the contest I won.
right

8….Kiss of Midnight (Book One of the Midnight Breed) This is the other book I won from Jaci’s contest. Can’t wait to get my package and dig into these!

9….Second Sight by Amanda Quick (and I wish Julie Garwood would go back to writing historicals)

10….The latest Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich

11….Too Good To Be True by Marie Nicole Ryan

12….The DaVinci Cook by Joanne Pence

13….Mirror, Mirror by Chloe Michelle (see the post on YA Junkie below)

I would and will add most of these to my list.

Surviving Demon Island was good. And, hot. You will love it. Is the second one out yet?

So many authors to keep track of. LOL!

There are some interesting books in your list. On top of my TBR-pile is Tolkien’s Children of Hurin; looking forward to reading it!
My TT is a co-production with Google this week. :-)

Oh, my TBR pile is so out of control, it’s scary. The only reason my Wish List isn’t scarier is that I know I won’t get all of it read!

Happy TT and thanks for dropping by!

I agree with you – wish Julie Garwood would write more historicals as well..

My TBR is half my book collection but immediate TBRs – some Stephanie Laurens, the first 3 Mary Jane Davidson’s Undead books and Sex and the Single Vampire by Katie McAlister

Nancy-I saw the cover for the second book up on Jaci’s blog but I don’t know if it’s out yet.

Tink-I read Tolkie’s Lord of the Ring series in 8th grade. I don’t think I have the brain power to tackle his stuff at this point. LOL!

Susan–I hear you. This is only a fraction of the books I have piled up. Some books just never seem to make it to the top.

Rhian–Oooh, the new Sookie book. That’s another series I’ve fallen behind. I need to catc h up and find out what’s been happening with her.

Miss Frou Frou- I enjoyed KMcA’s Vampire series but it’s her Aisling Grey series that really has me hooked. The next book is due out in Nov. and I’m counting down.

I just started Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier — what a wonderful book!

It’s so funny that you referred to your TBR pile as up to your hip! My best friend just asked me what I was doing this weekend and I swore, SWORE I was going to sort my books and part with some because between a den full of books and a TBR pile up to my hip, I simply won’t live long enough to read and re-read all of them! My local public library has a book sale/fundraiser every summer and while I hate sending any book out of my house, they’ll be doing some good for the community if I can muster up the courage to give them away. Wish me luck!

My TBR is enormous, but that’s not stopping me from adding several of these to it. Thanks for the reminders!

I have a BIG TBR pile. I’m currently reading “The Last Time They Met” by Anita Shreve. Anyway, next on my list are “Wings of the Dove” and “The Pilot’s Wife”.
