Rocking Review Wednesday!

Say You’re Mine is a novella by Sydney Somers that launches the Spellbound series. This delightful story will keep you turning pages and salivating for more. I’ve alread purchased book two, Don’t Let Go, which is novel length, and can’t wait to read it.

Say You’re Mine is a blend of romance and mystery that introduces Violet Calder, the sane family member (according to her), who comes from a long line of witches. Unfortunately, life takes a turn to the left when Violet ends up smack in the middle of a police investigation. She’s not exactly complaining since it means indulging in a light flirtation (and more) with hunky police detective Reese Prescott. It’s a relationship that can’t go anywhere since, well, she’s got this otherworldly ability that tends to freak guys out.

Reece has had the hots for Violet, but since she also has two older brothers who tend to be a pain in his butt, he’s kept a hands off attitude–until she lands at his feet. He isn’t quite sure what hits him when Violet suddenly becomes his girlfriend. Still, he can’t help enjoying the closeness. If only he could figure out what’s going on with her, because something sure doesn’t add up.

I honestly couldn’t put the story down once I started. The story flows easily, but it’s the characters that make you want to go back for more, and it isn’t just the main characters, either. A cousin and a brother show up with rather interesting talents of their own, making me curious as to their stories. The magic blends with the real world environment the author creates and the combination of humor and occasional high jinks make for a fun read that will have you demanding more.

 I’m so glad you enjoyed reading it! And I hope you like Finn and Bree’s story just as much.
