I attended the Japan Writers Conference yesterday. It was inspiring. I had a great time meeting a diverse group of writers and simply talking writing. I gave one of the first presentations on the W-Plot. I ended up with a full room of people, which made me a little nervous, especially when they seemed so focused on everything I said. After about 40 minutes of me talking, I fielded several questions. My audience seemed to find the talk quite useful, and I found myself answering questions later in the day or receiving compliments. I’ll be giving a presentation tomorrow at the Japan Writers Conference. I’ll be talking about the W-Plot: A Fiction Writer’s Tool. It’s a very useful method for plotting your story and I look forward to introducing it to other writers.

I am very psyched about tomorrow’s event. There are all kinds of workshops being presented. One of the best things about this huge event is that it is free. I don’t know of any other writers conference that can say that. The university donates the facilities and the presenters all donate their time and knowledge.
