Watch this video. Then we’ll talk. (Performance by Lil’ Buck and Yo-Yo Ma)
I don’t get into hip hop or rap, but I’ve got many students who are major fans. I see some of them practicing dancing moves in the open area on campus. It takes flexibility, strength and balance to get the moves down. It’s hard work.
Ever seen someone, though, who perform so flawlessly and makes it appear easy. You’re amazed and you know deep down that it took a lot of work to achieve that effect.
Then there’s another category of artist. This is the artist who … Read More »

With the mighty hammer of Thor will Chris Hemsworth score a big hit? Who knows and who cares. This action, adventure at least did one thing right and picked a fierce and sexy lead actor to play the part. I’ve never been one for facial hair but this man knows how to rock viking!
Chris is a 6’3″ Aussie who is best known for his teen role in Australian Soap Opera Home and Away
Chris Hemsworth is an up and coming actor who played some mediocre roles mostly for television and film. His role as George Kirk was short but … Read More »

It’s been a pretty stressful month and a half. Everyone around me talks about “Before The Earthquake” and “After The Earthquake,” as if everything in our lives is now defined by that moment. We’re still having daily aftershocks, and cracks in the walls, broken and bumpy sidewalks and manholes sticking out of the ground at the height of a child are some constant reminders of The Event.
Given the circumstances, I’ll take comfort where I can get it. If we’re talking food, my hands down favorite has got to be chocolate. Rich, dark chocolate when I’m tired or stressed just … Read More »

Whether he is rocking out on stage and making women throw their bras on stage
or he is just relaxing, John Bon Jovi sure knows how to look hot and sexy.
Whether he is dressed up
or dressed in nothing…
This man can make me melt into a hysterical puddle. Even way back in the day when he first appeared on the scene with his flowing golden locks and bad boy style, I knew I would love him long time.
I could totally make a memory with Jon. ( (SIGH) ) I guess I will have to just settle for … Read More »

Social Media for Writers
TV, radio, and print are out of style, and getting your name out there as a writer is essential to success. As an internet marketing specialist, even I have a lot to learn about using blogs, SEO, and social media to get name recognition for a particular business or person. Still, starting with the basics can take you pretty far.
First, all writers should have a Facebook, a Twitter, and a Facebook Fan Page. The more social media you have, the more times your name will appear on the search engines. Now, one thing that comes … Read More »

Finally! Amazon Japan delivered my pre-order, Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend by Linda Wisdom. The cover is smokin’ hot and I can’t wait to kick back and read it.
Linda is a fellow San Diego RWA chapter mate. That makes her doubly special to me. I first became a fan of Linda through the books she wrote for Silhouette Intimate Moments (now Romantic Suspense). One of her titles, Mirror, Mirror is on my keeper shelf and I’ve read it I don’t know how many times.
I had no idea Linda had made the leap to mainstream, and paranormal romance … Read More »

VIN!!!! I could scream that name all day. Anyway, Vin is not the typical hotty. He’s bald, bad boy image with rippling muscles and a bit of a strange voice that is only him. He is my fantasy man. Hmmm.. he kind of looks like Hines. I am beginning to notice a pattern. Still I love to watch him.
Oh, yes, all wet and naked. Now that is how I picture him in my dreams…
Definitly XXX rated dreams
One movie where he didn’t talk but just looked fierce and futuristic was The Chronicles of Riddick.
He can look at … Read More »

Thank you for having me on the blog today!
I’ve been fascinated with science fiction since I was a little kid. It wasn’t so much about the aliens and adventures (though that played a big part in it), but the characters themselves. I would watch shows like Battlestar Galactica (yes…the original), Star Wars, Doctor Who, Star Trek, and grow attached to the men and women struggling to survive in these hostile, unexpected environments.
As I got older and I expanded my reading to encompass romance, I couldn’t help but wish there were more books that combined the two. I loved … Read More »

I’ve got at least two steampunk ideas floating around. One is generally plotted out and the other is still taking shape in my head. This is a new genre for me and I’m learning more and more about it all the time. Visually, I think steampunk is hot. I love the costumes and the cool gadgetry. It’s the type of genre that allows a writer to stretch the imagination, touching on history, science, social norms and even the paranormal. Steampunk has it all.
But there’s an underside to steampunk that I think can get lost. I know I lost sight … Read More »

A message to all members of HomeGirl.TV from Sofia Quitero –
Hey, HomeGirls!
As promised the next webisode is now available just about everywhere – YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, and, of course, HOMEGIRL.TV. But only our members will be able to see the bonus footage I’m going to upload featuring HomeGirl Marcela Landres in which she offers a unique idea for handling a relative who has borrowed money from you, gone on a shopping spree and has left you struggling to pay the bills. I think it’s genius and would love to see if you agree.
Meanwhile, we at HOMEGIRL.TV are … Read More »
