Comic con for beginners –Marie Andreas

Hello everyone! I was invited to come on over and speak a bit about Comic Con, and while it FEELS like everyone in the known Universe is attending it, I realize a vast majority of folks have never been there. So, I’ll start from the beginning and explain why this maddening, frustrating, and expensive event has seared its soul into mine.

First off, Comic Con (or CC) wasn’t always this big. It started exploding about 2003–or 2004. Prior to that it was decent sized, but not HUGE. I’ve been going since about 1992 and it has changed massively. But now … Read More »

Wicked Wednesday – Daniel Dae Kim

This actor caught my attention with his stellar, kick-ass moves on Hawaii Five -O.
Daniel Dae Kim portrays Chin Ho Kelly.

How do you get amazing abs and a sweet tight package like his. well, I found out it is from indulging in my favorite food!!! Chineses food. (Although he is of Korean decent) Yup, I kid you not. The man said so himself on The Actor’s Diet. Check out his interview and podcast as he tells all his naughty secrets on dieting.

I have to admit I would not mind getting LOST with Daniel on a remote deserted island. … Read More »

Meet An Author Monday – Terri Schaefer

Gabriella – for starters, thanks so much for having me!

Because I’ve been in the biz for over a decade, sometimes I wonder about what the heck I should blog about, especially since a quick Google search will show what I’ve already said*G*.

Today I thought I’d write about music as a muse. Every author is different in what “works” for them in their creative process. Some need absolute silence, quiet music, or even the television going in the background. For me, iTunes is my best friend (and before that it was a plethora of CDs). I MUST have music … Read More »

Wicked Wednesday – Prince Harry

Oh yes, this royal bad boy is very much single and at the top of my list for Prince Charming candidates.

Since he was a little boy, Harry has always been the brother in the shadows, the little imp and mischief maker.

He’s grown up and since then has become a man that still loves to be contraversial and naughty.

But he isn’t all fun and games. He is known for his charity work and for his compassion and fortitude as a soldier.

But for me he will always just be Harry, the sexy prince of London!

Meet An Author Monday – Corneila Grey

Tell me if this sounds familiar:

You’re sitting in front of your laptop. A stark white Microsoft Word page is giving you the evil eye. You try to stare it down but it doesn’t seem to work. You swim round and round in your head like a fish stuck in a muddy puddle – to no avail. There’s not a scrap of inspiration to be found, and it feels like your brain will refuse to provide ideas for quite possibly the rest of your natural life.

Congratulations: you’ve directly reached Writer’s Block, without passing GO and without collecting $200.

There’s … Read More »

This Friday in the Spotlight is Dana Mortan, award winning author of romantic suspense. She has a new series coming out this summer destined to make the temperature rise. So grab a glass of iced tea and sit back with a lot of ice. Guardian Agent is the first in the series and her second novel comes out in July with Avenging Agent.

Wicked Wednesday – Channing Tatum

HAPPY HUMP DAY!

Some hot pictures of Channing Tatum to get you through the day and feeling good.

Okay, I love GI JOE. This is no big secret. He and Barbie did the horizontal mambo all the time. Now, had I known Duke looked this good, I would have never told Barbie to break up with him.

I first noticed Channing in the movie Step Up, he was such a cute hottie. This boy can really bust a move! Wish he would throw some of those sweet hips and lips my way.

I love a man in uniform. Channing in … Read More »

Meet An Author Monday — J.K. Coi

A lot of people ask me how I find the time to write, and an extension of that is the other question: why do I write? I never really know what to say. Yes, I have a full time job, a husband and an active little boy that keep me busy—busy enough that my days are already very full. And yes, sometimes the last thing I want to do after a long day in front of the computer at the day job is to sit down with my laptop and write, especially when the characters or the plot or the … Read More »
