I’m excited to announce that my paranormal romantic suspense novella Heart of the Nile will be digitally released by Cobblestone Press for their Shifters line. This is the first of a trilogy that blends the modern world with ancient Egyptian mythology. Read the short blurb below to get a taste of this new series:

Behind The Gender Divide with David Boultbee

NOTE: There is a page on the website for The Gender Dividehttp://www.thegenderdivide.com/?concept – that discusses the concept briefly but this is a more in-depth discussion.

I was recently re-reading Blind Waves, a novel co-authored by one of my favorite authors, Steven Gould (co-authored with Laura J. Mixon). There’s a scene where the two protagonists are skinny dipping. The authors have done a good job of establishing a realistic love-at-first-sight connection between them, and as a result the conversation naturally segues into a discussion on becoming intimate. They share the pertinent details about blood tests and previous … Read More »

If You Could Only Choose Your Mother by Julie Harford
Review by Kevin Ferrall

Marvelous. If you’ve seen Spanglish, 10 things I hate about you, then prep yourself for a should- be-film story. If You Could Only Choose Your Mother by Julie Harford is not a groundbreaking piece, but it is impressionable.

To begin, the story is a teen romance telling of the protagonist’s growth in teen angst, peer pressure, and first love. I know we’ve all heard the plot before, but this is a definite must read. I, too, thought the title of the piece to be banal, but … Read More »

Rocking Review Wednesday

Undenied by Maya Banks

He’s no cow poke and she’s no milk maid. The talk is dirty, the scenes are raunchy and the conversation is titillating. I don’t know what it is about Ms. Banks novellas that have me giggling and feeling like a naughty little girl.

Maya Banks has done it again! Undenied is undeniably the best erotic novella I’ve read in a long time! A fun bunch of characters that immerse you in southern comfort and make you feel right at home. Serious yee-haw going on! Wes Hoffman is back in the third installment to the series and … Read More »

Rocking Review: Sci-fi Junkie

I’m a space drama junkie and I’m in celestial heaven! Futuristics galore. There is nothing more satisfying to me than flying away in shuttlecraft and landing in deep space with a hunky alien who wants nothing more than to do wicked little things with my spacesuit. Read two amazing novels this past week: Starkissed by Lanette Currington & The Bond That Ties by Christine D’Abo.

Review: Starkissed by Lanette Curington

Sci-fi and romance mixed together makes for an intergalactic cocktail in Starkissed. I’m drunk on the punch of action and sexual tension right off the first page. From the beginning … Read More »

Rocking Review: Mirror, Mirror by Michelle Chloe

Mirror, Mirror By Michelle Chloe
Review by Kevin Ferrall

After reading Mirror, Mirror by Chloe Michelle, my overall opinion: Very nice. It was a well thought out, researched, and engaging novel.

I’ll admit I was a tad doubtful as an American, which sounds horrible I know, having an American author write about a Japanese time period. Sorry, but from past experiences, Americans mess up horribly at depicting Japanese history, and I have more Asian pride than I should. I was fond of this novel and found it to be very adult, but tasteful. Luckily, it isn’t adult in the usual … Read More »

Rhian Wins the Prize

Well, the chat is over. We had a very cozy group talk with author Kate Willoughby. Kate’s cover artist stopped by, which was very cool. I want to thank all the ladies who made time today to come on over. For those who missed it, I hope you’ll visit the next time we hold such an event.

In the meantime, Rhian is the winner of Kate’s contest and won the very stylish charm bracelet. *pout* LOL! Rhian, you lucky woman you. I think you mentioned winning some books lately too. Sounds like you’re on a streak. Rub some of it … Read More »
