Recovering from the death of her husband, Devalera Dunne is making a new home for herself in Naples, Florida. This book’s taut opening pulls you in and holds you in its grip all the way until the end. A serial killer is back and there’s only one woman who can identify him—the one who got away. Spotlight: Haevyn

Haevyn by Darcy AbrielRating: 4 out of 5 STARS

My review:
Loved the second installment of the Humanotica series. It was nice to follow Entrues and see where his path led. Haevyn was a new character and a strong woman with more of a role in this novel than Silver in the first novel. I loved the sexy scenes and fantastic world building. Darcy Abriel has created another wonderful book in which I was totally immersed.

Blurb:
Duty and honor demand the ultimate sacrifice.

Humanotica, Book 2
Everyone has their poison. For Haevyn Briena, it’s her inability to … Read More »

Meet An Author Monday — J.K. Coi

A lot of people ask me how I find the time to write, and an extension of that is the other question: why do I write? I never really know what to say. Yes, I have a full time job, a husband and an active little boy that keep me busy—busy enough that my days are already very full. And yes, sometimes the last thing I want to do after a long day in front of the computer at the day job is to sit down with my laptop and write, especially when the characters or the plot or the … Read More »

Spotlight – Aztec Gold

Aztec Gold by Caridad Piñeiro

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aztec Gold is a wonderful read filled with suspense, action and steamy love scenes.

It is not your conventional paranormal romance and that was what made this book entertaining. It is more of a woman’s journey to find herself, her lost love and to discover an ancient past that threatens her future.

Caridad Pineiro did an excellent job of keeping the reader engaged and emotionally tied up in knots. I loved the setting and the ancient Aztec lore and mythology. Aztec Gold is a highly recommended read. Can’t wait … Read More »

Spotlight: Craving Perfect

Craving Perfect by Liz Fichera
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Craving Perfect is absolutely P-E-R-F-E-C-T! Liz Fichera is a fresh voice and a welcome addition to contemporary romance. Craving Perfect is a funny, sweet, raucous read that will have you flipping pages and craving a hot cup of cafe and some sopasillas.

Grace is a down to earth heroine who is is perfectly human and a character every woman can relate to. Who doesn’t want to lose a few pounds, find the right man, and be successful in her career? But this story is so much more than … Read More »
